Make it possible to search by Native Language and Language being learnt.
For instance, I am learning Japanese and speak English so I should search for Japanese speakers who are learning English. That way we can do an exchange and I think the community would build faster.

Change the recorder not to use Silverlight!
HTML5 could be a good alternative since it is well-supported on mobile devices! In fact Silverlight is the only reason I do not use this service as much as I would like :(
5 votesWe are happy to announce that the old recorder is gone, and a new one is there in its place! The new recorder does not need any browser plugins, instead it uses new HTML5 audio capabilities that weren’t available a few years ago.
Since this is a newer web technology, it works in the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Brave and Opera on the major desktop operating systems (Windows, Mac, and Linux), as well as Chrome and Firefox for Android. Safari and Edge don’t support this new web audio recording ability yet, but we expect they will adopt the new standard eventually. But hey, something is better than nothing! In-browser recording is back!

Add maltese language to language list.
I'd like to learn Maltese, so I need audio help from others. Just add Maltese to list of languages so that it can be selected as a native or studied language

Make transcriptions editable
Great website!
One suggestion: make it so that users can edit what they wrote after they post a transcription. Currently, we have to put any corrections in the comments section.
Thanks!
